What was it?
In July 2022 at HMP Five Wells we ran IGNITE, a 'play in a week' residential project that introduces a group to acting, performance and a collaborative devising process across 5 intensive days.
In partnership with an extraordinary, energised and creative group of sixteen, we created THE BEST THING THAT NEVER HAPPENED, performed on the final day to a packed audience of visitors, prison staff and other residents
THE BEST THING THAT NEVER HAPPENED was an anthology piece that explored ideas around hope & chance asking if / why we keep betting on ourselves when the going gets tough.

I came down because it seemed important, it seemed like something good. It's been mad, it's been crazy, its been good. I don't like to praise myself, but a lot of people said I was all right...so I'm going to take their word for it.
