Rushes

RUSHES was a bold new alumni project delivered by Kestrel Theatre Company, designed to support the continued artistic and professional development of actors who have previously participated in Kestrel’s prison-based and community projects.

Four advanced alumni actors, all of whom had previously performed in multiple Kestrel projects, each filmed two scenes across the course of the project. All participants were paid professional rates for their time and contribution on Rushes.

These scenes now form a professional-grade showreel portfolio for each actor – a vital tool for accessing opportunities in the entertainment industry and building a career beyond the criminal justice system.
