
Six participants at HMP Springhill adapted their stage play Blood & Water into a short film, guided by industry professionals over three weeks.
A three-week filmmaking initiative at HMP Springhill in which six partcipants adapted their stage play Blood & Water — exploring themes of fatherhood — into a screenplay.
Participants received instruction from industry professionals in writing, acting, and filmmaking. A further 15 prisoners contributed original music and appeared as extras. The completed film premiered to the prison community and invited guests in June 2017.
